I'm Back! + Blog Update

So things at work are finally settling down fully once again, and I should have time to continue updating the blog very soon. Not today, though, as I'm totally hypnotized by this one YouTuber, Veriax's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Let's Play, and am almost finished marathoning the entire 337 (or something like that) episode run. I will, however, take the time to update all two of you of my future plans for the blog.

I've been doing a new playthrough of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, really getting into character, and even keeping an in-game journal of what is my take on the main character, the Dragonborn, and his story. I plan to start posting one entry a week of that journal starting next week, for anyone who enjoys Skyrim as much as I do. The entries will come complete with screenshots of my playthrough, and depending on how much I enjoy telling the story of one of my RP characters, I might consider a Skyrim Let's Play of my own. Also, speaking of my YouTube channel,I have my computer back, and an HD camera, so expect new toy review videos soon.

I've also made a decision regarding my Something Awesome posts. I like doing them each day, but when I end up missing one I freak out because my OCD demands that I post them at five a week, so that each friday post is a multiple of five, and each monday post (the larger post of the week) is the first of the next five (on an unrelated note, I'm wondering if I should go on any medication). Honestly I would have posted some Something Awesomes this week, but it wouldn't have fit the pattern. To eleviate some of this drama, and save myself future frustration migraines, I've decided that only one post a week, the big Something Awesome post of the week, will be numbered from now on, with the other being called A Little Something Awesome instead, and that the big post can come any weekday, not just monday.

Something Awesome #25 - The World Wide Web

Twenty-five years ago today, Tim Berners-Lee proposed an information web to inprove the sharing of articles. That proposed web has since become the World Wide Web, the entity which allows the Internet to fuction as it does today. If not for the innvation of Sir Tim (yes, he's knighted, and its awesome)and of the many talented and forward-thinking people who came after, building upon his accomplishment, I wouldn't be so free to share my thoughts. No one would. So, today, on the Web's 25th birthday, take a minute to be thankful for all that we enjoy in our day to day lives thanks to the World Wide Web, and come back later for another Something Awesome.

TV Reviews - Sirens

First of all I want to apologize for the conspicuous lack of Something Awesomes lately. I have been very busy recently due to a crisis at work, and quite frankly until I settle into this more frantic state of my life, regular updates here will likely remain pretty far from my mind. Hopefully things will normalize soon and regular updates will return, and you shouldn't expect no Something Awesome updates at all. They will just come less frequently than before.

Second of all, with that being said, I want to draw your attention to the fact that this review is not a Something Awesome. Quickie review, the show is okay. Long review, well...

Something Awesome #24 - Pics of the New Dr. Who

It's been years since Dr. Who's title Doctor has been played by an "older" actor, pretty much since the prelude to the new series, the Dr. Who TV movie in 1996. When Peter Capaldi was announced as the 12th Doctor, I was a bit skeptical, but recent images of Capaldi on set and in costume have served to alleviate this apprehension greatly. Any Whovians out there take a look at a few of my favorites, let me know what you think, and check in later for another Something Awesome.
